This is an 18K yellow gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date President, 118238. It has an integral flat three-piece link 18k Yellow Gold Presidential Bracelet with a double deployant clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 36mm diameter solid three-body case, fluted bezel, downturned lugs, solid screw-down case back, Twinlock waterproof crown system, and bracelet are polished/brushed. The dial is mother-of-pearl with applied yellow gold diamond hour markers, gold center sweep seconds and baton minute hands, and an outer railway-style minute/second track. There is a rectangular date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position magnified by a Cyclops lens, and an arched day aperture at 12 o'clock, both with quick adjustment function. It includes a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) certification, it has a stop seconds for precision timing, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, and the 12.4mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3155 movement is rhodium plated, with a shock absorber mechanism, and a monobloc middle case. It has a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring oscillator, and a bi-directional self-winding perpetual rotor. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a free-sprung monometallic balance adjusted to five positions and temperature. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. This is the most prestigious Rolex model, introduced in 1956. It was the first calendar wristwatch to show the day written in full, in addition to the date. This is a Z Series model, produced in 2009.
