This is a vintage 1969 stainless-steel Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 BA145.022-69 ST. It includes an 18k yellow gold case with an integral 18k yellow gold Omega Bracelet and an acrylic crystal. It includes round chronograph pushbuttons, a signed screw-down winding crown protected by a crown guard and a solid screw-down case back that’s engraved with "OMEGA SPEEDMASTER - APOLLO XI 1969", the Omega logo, and "THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON.” The 42mm diameter solid three-body monobloc case, integral lugs, bracelet, and burgundy anodized aluminum bezel with a tachymeter to 500 UPH, are polished/brushed. The original “dot over 90” dial is champagne gold with black onyx pointed baton hour and minute hands, a black onyx center sweep second hand, and square gold-ringed black onyx hour marker indices. There is a perimeter luminous black chronograph minute/seconds track, and a black center sweep second hand with a luminous arrow tip. It has three recessed gold “pie tin” subsidiary dials, including a constant running small seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute counter at the 3 o'clock position. It includes a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 14mm thick case, movement, and dial are all signed. This Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 ST has a mechanical manual winding Omega caliber 861 (Lemania based) movement that's copper-colored, with a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). This is the second generation of the moon watch, released in 1968 and only 1,014 examples were produced in 18k yellow gold in 1969. The first 25 examples were presented to members of the Apollo XI moon-landing team and President Richard Nixon.
