Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra Thin 5273 Automatic SS RARE!
Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra-Thin Automatic, ref. 5273, very rare, stainless steel case on a strap is in excellent condition and has sharp lugs, automatic Caliber 2120 movement (this is the same movement found in the original Royal Oak ref 5204 and also used by Patek Philippe in the Nautilus 3700), silver dial with charcoal stick baton numeral markers, acrylic crystal shows some crazing and may be original to the watch, screw down caseback, circa 1970's, diameter: 34mm, thickness: 5.9mm. Excellent original condition.

This is a very rare vintage stainless steel c. 1970's Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra-Thin Automatic 5273. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel tang bracelet, and an acrylic crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, and a solid screw down case back, inside of which is engraved/stamped "AUDEMARS PIGUET-SWISS-ACIER INOXYDABLE," and a serial number. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The dial is silver with applied blackened steel baton hour indices, and matching baton hands. It has a 40-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 5.9mm thin case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra-Thin Automatic 5273 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Audemars Piguet caliber 2120 (base Jaeger LeCoultre 920 - the same movement used by Patek Philippe in the Nautilus 3700) movement. It has rhodium plating and a nickel-finished lever movement, a suspended barrel, with manual finishing of the bridges including polished bevels, satin-brushed edges, and Perlage on the recesses. It's constructed with 36 jewels, a monometallic Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, an index regulator, and a free sprung self-compensating flat balance spring. The rotor has a 21K gold segment, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra-Thin Automatic 5273 was introduced in the 1970's.
