This is a very rare .950 platinum A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 "Stealth" ref. 101.005. It includes a solid .950 platinum case with an alligator leather strap, a platinum tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a signed pull-out winding crown, a corrector on the left-side case band at 10 o'clock for the date function, and there is solid platinum case back secured with 6 screws and it's engraved with "A. LANGE & SOHNE – GLASHUTTE IN SACHSEN" hallmarks and a serial number. The 38.5mm diameter solid two-body case, gently curved lugs, and convex bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is two-tier opalescent silver with a recessed off-center circular time dial with applied white gold Roman numerals at the quarter hours, diamond-shaped hour indices, a black perimeter minute scale, and "dagger" style hour and minute hands. There is a double white gold-framed Big Date aperture window at 1 o'clock and a smaller circular silver recessed constant running small seconds subsidiary dial is at 5 o'clock with a white gold indicator hand with an open worked diamond-shaped counterbalance. There is a perimeter arched power reserve up/down indicator between 2 and 4 o'clock with triangular markers and a dagger-style white gold indicator hand. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, it has a 72-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 "Stealth" ref. 101.005 has a mechanical manual winding A. Lange & Sohne caliber L901.0 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment and it's constructed with German ¾ plate, 54 jewels, 398 components, and 9 screwed-in mounted gold chatons for the wheel pivots. It has a patented fan-shaped hand-engraved balance cock with a horseshoe-shaped precision whiplash index adjuster, and blued screws. There is a self-compensating flat balance spring, a hand-engraved balance bridge, and a swan-neck micrometer regulator. It includes blued screws, a shock absorber system, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperature and 5 positions, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 "Stealth 101.005 was released in 1994 and was produced until 1997. It is one of the rarest A. Lange & Sohne watches produced.
